Re: Adobe Introduces the Paid Security Fix

It would seem like a better idea for Adobe to focus on the security hole that renders all the applications in their CS6 suite 'free' But, to their credit, Adobe is probably too busy upgrading Flash players to be able to spend any resources on an application that people paid $700 a year ago...

Re: Repository

And here's another area or philosophy which we probably won't see eye-to-eye. I believe our focus -- our service, if you will -- should not be providing apps to our users but to improve upon the technology that facilitates the use of those apps. In fact I agree with you completely on this. This is ...

Re: Is America Really Free?

I think, in general, that there is quite a push in American society to trump itself as 'the greatest nation on earth' and things like this. Although this can be useful as an ideal or motivator, it often seems to be a slogan used without any true knowledge about any other nation on the earth :) I thi...

Re: Classic Shell v3.5.0 supports Win8 customer preview

T, you say Win8 palatable to serious Desktop users I've looked at 8, bleh, what would be the advantage of switching to 8? And doesn't micro have a history of releasing a new os too soon with too many bugs? ~rose Well, the main complaint about Win8 amongst power users and desktop users was t...

Re: List of useful development tools...

Yes, you're probably right. Since I've been doing Master Backups there really isn't much use to do registry cleaning. I guess I'm just fascinated by the idea of it, and there being so many apps out there that do it. CCleaner's reg cleaner is very mild and that may be the only thing to use. Wise Regi...

Re: List of useful development tools...

Freezer, do you like UltraISO and did you ever use its Virtual Drive? Just wondering... I know you use Virtual Clone Drive, but was wondering what you like/prefer about it. I virtually love UltraISO; the only thing I don't like about it is that the context menu for mounting to vd isn't always there....

Re: ssRepository/Software Center

OK, latest post cleared it up a bit for me. I like the idea, although the technical aspects of it aren't clear to me as of yet. Other part is, for myself I don't see the benefit, as I'd be making apps anyway. But for others' convenience I could see the benefit, and for making LastOS tech easier to u...
