Re: How is this place hosted?
I tried to "thank" your above post and got the following error, same as I did previously: Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'Twig_Error_Loader' with message 'Unable to find template "@gfksx_ThanksForPosts/user_thanks.txt" (looked into: ).' in D:\xampp\htdocs\sstek\forum\vendor\twig...

Re: How is this place hosted?
FYI, I tried to "Thank You" for your last post, but it failed with an "Invalid thank" error, whatever that is.
EDIT: Then it apparently did it anyway?

Looks promising. I would love to see a way that ssWPI could somehow adapt to this.

Re: 7zsd.sfx / 7zSD_En.CHM: Undocumented Features
Since you have liked previous posts of mine about the continuing evolution of the modified 7zSFX module discussed in detail here , I thought I'd pass this along as well. It is gora's opinion that the newest 1.6 version of the modified module is every bit as stable and error free as the 1.5 version. ...

Another thread at Ryan's that ties in nicely with the one discussed above is [New Updated Tutorial] Making A 7-Zip Switchless Installer . It started all the way back in Aug 2007, but posts continue as recently as Dec 2012 with gora, shiner and others participating. Even Oleg_Sch himself joined Ryan'...

Re: Some advice how to elevate batch to admin rights
An alternate approach to install "Everything" in both Win7 and XP has been used successfully by Geej in the above mentioned thread over at Wincert. He made a WA type addon, (basically a renamed 7-Zip made to be used with Win Toolkit -- in the same manner that our .apz are made to be used w...

Re: Some advice how to elevate batch to admin rights
Before Vista came out, I used to use a batch tool (from Microsoft) when I was a network admin to temporarily elevate the current command-box to admin privileges (this even worked from a guest account). One only needed a valid admin password that the local PC recognized, either from the local PC's o...

Some advice how to elevate batch to admin rights
I could use some help from one of my favorite software mentors. The below is a mess, so forgive my rambling. Some of my issues might also be due to trying to use a batch command I've never used before, "SCHTASKS", which I'll get to later. I'm trying to learn how to automatically deal, via ...

For anyone still needing to keep up with MS updates for XP and related apps, (I wonder who I'm thinking about? :) ), you might want to keep an eye on the Hotfix Hunting thread over at Ryan's. Hey Freezer - you might want to check this runtime package out made by ricktendo64. -- http://www.wincert.net/forum/topic/9790-aio-microsoft-visual-bcfj-redistributable-x86x64/ -- it also seems to be XP compatible now. Might be useful to make it into a ssApp?

Re: The Pirate Bay Launches Free VPN
Thanks for checking anyway. I'm curious if they also block the search engine cached links. Ie if you have Google search for links for a site, after it pulls up the summary page, try to pull up the cached link for a site that would ordinarily be blocked. Since that feed will come from Google, not dir...

So this will work in PE if the Live PE disk has a folder called "\ppAppsLive", and it won't matter whether or not the Live PE drive is writable nor that it's an XP-Live disk, etc.? "ppAppsLiveGen.cmd": @echo off SetupS "%~d0\ppAppsLive" -Regen And I assume it would be c...

Re: Possible new FileListToArray method for AutoIt
With all of these improvements, if you add the necessary code to produce the same return error codes as _FileListToArray does, if you feel that's at all important, then it sure seems to me that your improved version is much more capable and only sightly slower under only a very few circumstances. En...

Re: Possible new FileListToArray method for AutoIt
It ends up that Dir is smarter than I gave it credit for. It agrees with you that nothing useful can be done with recursive listings without full-paths. If you specify the /s option it automatically outputs in full paths, in fact I don't think there's anyway to NOT get full paths with recursive list...

Re: Possible new FileListToArray method for AutoIt
Yeah, your method above to add full path only works if you are not being recursive. You would think that Dir would have a flag option to output the fully qualified path, similar to the parameter extension %~f1, I mean it knows it as it's printing out it's list. It sure would make things easier. Othe...

Re: Possible new FileListToArray method for AutoIt
Even better than advertised! Wonderful! A success then I assume? Just curious - I can't see how $aFileList[0] is assigned the count of how many elements are added to the array, in fact I never see the count get created at all. Where does that happen? Also, are there any differences in result between...
